Our beautiful son took his own life on August 28, 2022. On the surface nobody would have ever imagined that Aiden struggled with anything. He had an infectious smile, an amazing personality and a heart of gold. He was the life of the party, the rational thinker when it was needed, and motivated to succeed. In life we sometimes struggle with things that we can’t see an end in sight. Even though Aiden is gone his light still shines on us everywhere we go. He is so missed everyday and awareness is important. Your story isn’t over. There is always the next chapter.
Those words, your story isn't over, ring in my ears and speaks volumes. While my family and I try to recover and what becomes our new life with a void, we find comfort hearing stories about Aiden. Who we already know he is. Stories of how he's always the first one to welcome a new kid, always the one to give comfort or advise to a friend in need. A kid that would stand up for others. Aiden had such character that he earned a nickname, Unicorn. I would agree that Aiden is one in a million. So the story will continue. Aiden will continue to help others in need even though he is no longer with us. We will make sure that his struggles were not for nothing. If Living for Aiden saves one life we will have achieved our goal.
