Executive Chairmen of Living for Aiden.
Hello, our names are Andrea and Andy Carter. We are the parents to 4 wonderful children, Nick, Anastasia, Kelsie and Aiden. We blended our family in 2011 when we started to live together in the sylvania area. In 2012 we made it official when we got married out on Lake Erie. This blended family we built is like no other. We could go out to dinner and have conversations for hours. Kids running in and out of the house on game night, formal dance night or even just a regular night all hanging around the kitchen island. We had such a good time attending school functions, traveling places and going on adventures. The life we lived drastically changed on August 28, 2022. We lost our beautiful son Aiden to suicide. Aiden is one of those kids that just had a wow factor. A kid that could hold a conversation with adults, light up a room filled with his friends, make the new kid feel welcomed, and find solutions to everyday problems. The life we live now is one of purpose, to raise awareness for 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. It is our mission now to save lives of anyone in need by making everyone aware that this is a number you can call or text. We have bonded as a family stronger than ever and have brought in family and friends to serve on this mission with us. We invite everyone to help us make sure that everyone knows what 988 is and what it can do for anyone in a mental health crisis.
We love you Aiden!

Hello,
My name is Kelsie, and I was blessed to have Aiden as my little brother. I am currently a nursing student at Lourdes University hoping to make an impact on young lives someday. Aiden and I were two peas in a pod. Everyone knew us as the more outgoing siblings, which is nothing short of true. To have been compared to Aiden is something I hold close to my heart. His kindness, friendliness and his sense of humor are just a few of my favorite things about him. I always enjoyed taking Aiden to school, of course only on days he woke up on time. Our time spent outside playing sports or games together as little kids, are memories I hold close to my heart. I miss hearing “aidenisms” or receiving text messages that are not even really comprehendible. The loss of my little brother is something my heart will never 100% recover from, but will always beat a little stronger to live for him. I serve on this board to better educate people who may struggle like my little brother did. No story should end too soon.
Miss you kid.

Hello! My name is Anastasia Carter and Aiden is my brother. Growing up, our parents always told us that we would be each others longest & closest friends as brother and sister. Even though we spent the majority of our time together bickering or arguing, at the end of the day we always knew we had eachothers backs no matter what. Mental Health has always been an important topic of interest to me, and being a board member of this non-profit is an opportunity to learn and advocate about the resources available to anyone. I hope to help spread awareness about the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline alongside the rest of the board.

Hello, my name is Dawn McCown. I'm married to the love of my life, Jimmy, and we have 4 boys. The Carters are our best friends. We watched Aiden grow from a cute, little spunky kid to a very well-rounded, handsome young man. His adventurous nature was captivating. The loss of Aiden is something we will truly never get over, but we will move forward and, in his name, spread awareness of 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Help is only a phone call away.

Hi all, my name is Andrew Skiadas and I am a Greek American Toledo native. I’ve been friends with the Carters for as long as I can remember. My most rememberable time I was with Aiden was when I needed help moving stuff to my parent’s garage. He was not your typical teenager, not at any point did he ever look at his phone or deviate from our conversations we had together in the truck or slack on our task to get the job done. He even went out of his way to ask my mother, if there was anything else he could do to help. All I could do was look at him and just smile! I am proud to be a board member for this foundation cause of the urgency of mental health and crisis support. My plan is to help assist along the way and raise 988 awareness.

They call me Bob!
My name is Bob Carter and I am Aiden's Grandpa. I am born and raised here in Toledo Ohio. I am currently retired but spent the majority of my career working as a Gas Processing Engineer for a locally own company. I have a lot of hobbies but mostly interested in playing my gold top Les Paul and my new ES 335. I take a lot of interest in projects around the house as well but that is for nicer weather days. I am proud to be a member of Living for Aiden and helping raise awareness about the Crisis Lifeline. I look forward to what this team will accomplish in the years to come.
